Oh man! Have you guys heard of Silver Scrolls??! It’s this mad DIY house party where everyone dresses up like on Mad Men, there’s heaps of free cask wine, Scribe is playing SICK AS tradeoff sets against Midnight Youth EVERY NIGHT!
Anyway, at the next Silver Scrolls, the perpetually brutal Bang Bang Eche have been asked to perform, covering Phil Madsen’s 2009 hit Dancing On The Moon. You hadn’t heard of it? Well you can listen to it

, well, a snippet of it anyway. It’s up against the Christian rock band Midnight Youth, future Prime Minister Lawrence Arabia (ft Luke Buddha), The Man Shayne Carter, & Jess Chambers. THESE ARE THE FIVE BEST WRITTEN SONGS IN THE COUNTRY OK.
BBE, hot off carving it up all over the studio on their forthcoming Sonic Death Cuntttt EP, have unleashed some wave of pent-up anger all over their version of the track, Zach Doney’s vocals barely discernible over the straighforward verse chords, then straight-up lost amongst the stop-start noise of the refrain. It’s the best kind of unfaithful to the original, stupidly raw and OTT noisy. Like seriously, sounds like its recorded on garageband and STILL kicks the shit out of the original. Although that’s kinda like taking candy from a dead baby.
I think the Silver Scrolls party is Facebook invite only, so in case you aren’t cool enough to go, here’s the BBE take on Phil Madsen. Should the original somehow beat out Apple Pie Bed, I’m heading the angry mob. Keen?
