Whoa remember when I interviewed Nevernudes and they were, you know, younger than your average band but still owning a lot of much older, shittier musicians?? Well they just got NEXT LEVELLED in terms of getting in on it early by Bandicoot. Mauling your face off with brutal pedal-assisted riffery and stop-start maniac punk brattyness, they’ve self (self?) recorded their Happy Talking EP and are dishing it out via the internet free of charge. It’s pretty much Christmas come early, because when vocalist Pearl Mcglashan (daughter of Don // TOTAL BRUTAL DIVA) unleashes her queen bee fury tantrums all over the chorus of Emotional and Dirty, Bandicoot hit energy levels that bands 3 times their age struggle to find. Between these high-energy buzzouts and their capacity for covering Dizzee Rascals I Luv U live, I think I have my new favourite band. Check the almost Lightning Bolt-y opening riff on Bessie, or if you get to see them live, their track Abortion, which may as well be the aural equivalent of said abortion, stonerpunk style. BEST NEW MUSIC LOL.
